A LEED Gold certified building houses the Austin Convention Center and where a slew of trade shows and conventions including the SXSW Music & Film Festival, the Austin Boat Show and Austin ComicCon take place. Built in 1989, the Austin Convention Center went through a renovation in 1999 to fill a need for a venue that could host larger trade shows and convention. With a total exhibit floor space of 247,052 square feet, the Austin Convention Center now has the capacity for grander shows.
